The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that traffic deaths in the US continue to skyrocket. This, despite the US being one of the few nations in the world that mandates automobile airbags. Ever since September 1, 1998, automobile airbags were required by law in the United States.

So why haven’t we seen dramatic improvement in auto fatalities and injuries?
